ABOUT THE EVENT
It has always been an effort of our esteemed institution to leave no stone unturned in its pursuit of providing quality education and taking out the best from its students. We feel our moral responsibility to encourage the rarest of the rare talented science students by helping them in their endeavour to acquire knowledge so that they may emerge as capable and responsible human beings who can contribute to making lives of needy and deprived more meaningful and beautiful.
This task of giving an extra push to the talented ones has been undertaken by us in the name of 'All India Science Talent Search Examination’. This examination is meant for all the students of class VIII to X studying science (physics, chemistry and biology) and mathematics through any board/pattern or system of education and it is also meant for the science students i.e, for the students who are studying in class XI, or class XII or have passed class XII in the year 2007 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology, Physics and Chemistry or a combination of these through any of the State Boards of Secondary Education.
All the students of standard VIII to standard XII and those who have passed class XII in the year 2019 and have secured 75% or more mark if they are studying through ICSE/ISC or CBSE and 70% if they are studying through any of the State Boards of Secondary education can apply for this examination. Details of this examination are given below.
CATEGORY A
(i) For class VIII
(a) Special Prize for top three students of class VIII
1st Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 7,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 5,000/-
(b) Besides this, a scholarship of Rs. 200/- per month for a period of 9 months will be given to each of the top 20 students.
(c) Free of charge Orientation Coaching for JEE and NEET, free study material and All India Orientation Test Series for JEE/NEET.
(ii) For class IX
- Special Prize for top three students of class IX
1st Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 7,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 5,000/-
(b) Besides this scholarship of Rs. 250/- per month for a period of 9 months will be given to each of the top 20 students.
(c) Free of charge Orientation Coaching for JEE and NEET, free study material and All India Orientation Test Series for JEE/NEET.
(iii) For class X
(a) Special Prize for top three students of class X
1st Prize: Rs. 11,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 7,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 5,000/-
(b) Besides this scholarship of Rs. 250/- per month for a period of 9 months will be given to each of the top 20 students.
(c) Free of charge Orientation Coaching for JEE and NEET, free study material and All India Orientation Test Series for JEE/NEET.
(iv) For class XI
- Special Prize for top three students of class XI
1st Prize: Rs. 12,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 8,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 6,000/-
(b) Besides this scholarship of Rs. 350/- per month for a period of 9 months will be given to each of the top 20 students.
(c) Free of charge Coaching for JEE and NEET, free study material and All India Simulators Test Series for JEE/NEET.
(iv) For class XII
- Special Prize for top three students of class XII
1st Prize: Rs. 12,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 8,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 6,000/-
(b) Besides this scholarship of Rs. 400/- per month for a period of 9 months will be given to each of the top 20 students.
(c) Free of charge Coaching for JEE and NEET, free study material and All India Simulators Test Series for JEE/NEET.
(iv) For XII PASS
- Special Prize for top three students of XII PASS
1st Prize: Rs. 12,000/-
2nd Prize: Rs. 8,000/-
3rd Prize: Rs. 6,000/-
(b) Besides this scholarship of Rs. 400/- per month for a period of 9 months will be given to each of the top 20 students.
(c) Free Orientation Coaching for JEE and NEET, free study material and All India Simulators Test Series for JEE/NEET.
CATEGORY B
Next 100 students of each standard from VIII to X will be eligible for free of charge orientation coaching, study material and All India Orientation Test Series for JEE/NEET. Moreover, students of class XI, XII and those who have passed XII will be eligible for free of charge coaching, free of charge study material and free of charge All India Simulators Test Series for JEE/NEET.
HOW TO APPLY
(i) Students may apply for All India Science Talent Search Examination by filling the form online and send, for further correspondence, two self addressed envelopes each fixed with Indian postal stamps for Rs. 5/- on the following postal address:

(ii) Students may download form 1 and form 2 and other relevant details. The filled up forms and two self-addressed envelopes each fixed with Indian postal stamps for Rs. 5 /- should be sent on the postal address given in (i) above.
(iii) The students may obtain the scholarship form 1 and form 2, and information brochure by sending Indian postal stamps for Rs. 15/- on the postal address is given in (i) above. The filled up form 1 and form 2 should be sent along with two self-addressed envelopes, each fixed with Indian postal stamps for Rs. 5/-, on the address given in (i) above.
(i) In case two or more students of class VIII / IX / X are securing same total marks then merit will be decided on the basis of their merit in different subjects according to the order Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. If in this order also two or more students get the same marks then the scholarship amount will be equally divided among them. But in this situation each of such students (included in the merit list) will get other facilities like free of charge orientation coaching, free of charge orientation study material and free of charge orientation test series for JEE/SEE/NEET.
(Ii) For award of scholarship to the students of class XI / XII or to the XII pass students, the two groups (mathematics group and biology group) will not be considered separately, i.e., a common merit list will be considered.
(iii) Similarly, if two or more students of class XI / XII or two or more XII pass students of any of the two groups secure same total marks in the three subjects, then merit will be decided on the basis of their merit in different subjects for these groups according to the order Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Physics, Chemistry and Biology. If in this order also two or more students secure same marks then scholarship amount will be equally divided among them. But in this situation, each of such students (included in the merit list) will get other facilities like free of charge coaching, free of charge study material and free of charge simulators test series for JEE/SEE/NEET.
(Iv) Institute reserves the right to publicise the scholarship awardees with their merit positions, names and photographs etc. to promote the academic activities of Rubic's Rostrum Coaching Institute Pvt. Ltd.
(v) If candidates of Category 'A' and Category 'B' for award of scholarship will be provided free of charge coaching or free of charge study material or free of charge All India Simulator Test Series or free of charge All India Orientation test series for JEE/SEE/NEET, then they will have to send their enrollment/registration number(s) of the competitive examination(s) for which they are given above academic guidance.
(vi) Institution reserves the right to publish the merit positions, names and photographs of students successful in the competitive examination(s) for which he/she has been provided with above mentioned academic guidance.
(vii) In case a student is not allotted the test centre of his choice, he has to accept the centre allotted to him. No request will be entertained to change a test centre once it has been allotted.
(viii) A student has to produce the I-card while entering the examination room. Without I-card he/she will not be allowed to appear in the test.
(ix) Duplicate I-card may be issued on payment of Rs. 500/- in case a student loses the I-card.
(x) The decision of examination committee of Rubic's Rostrum coaching institute will be final for the correct answers of questions given in question papers for All India Talent Search Examination for each class.
Eligibility:
The student who is studying in class VIII/IX/X/XI/XII or has passed class XII in the year 2019 is eligible for this examination provided:
(a) he/she has secured75% marks in last board examination or home examination if he/she has passed it with ICSE/ISC or CBSE pattern/board and 70% marks in last board examination or home examination if he/she has passed it with any State Board of Secondary Education.
(b) he/she secures a minimum 50% marks in the All India Science Talent Search Examination conducted by Rubic's Rostrum Coaching Institute Pvt. Ltd.
Syllabus:
(a) Syllabus of scholarship examination for candidates of class VIII, IX, X and XI, studying through the pattern of any board is divided into following two parts.
(i) The syllabus of the previous examination after passing which he/she has been promoted to the present standard.
(ii) As per the pattern of the concerned board, the first half of the syllabus of the present class in which he/she is studying.
(b) Syllabus for candidates who have passed XII class examination conducted by a particular board is of class XI and class XII of that board.
(c) Question papers for the candidates of class VIII and IX and X will contain questions on Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), This category is given the name 'Mathematics/Science group’
(d) Question papers for candidates of class XI, XII and for those who have passed class XII will contain questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for 'Mathematics Group' students and Physics, Chemistry and Biology for 'Biology Group' students. Students of class XI, XII and those who have passed class XII have to specify the group through which they want to take the examination. Even if a candidate has/had both Mathematics and Biology as subjects in class XI/XII he/she can appear in scholarship examination only through one group (either Mathematics group or Biology group).
Note: The syllabus for scholarship examination for students of any class will be based on CBSE guidelines. Keeping in mind the students studying through patterns of other boards of secondary education, due care will be taken to adopt a syllabus, for each class, common in all the boards.
Format of Question Paper and Duration of the Examination:
(a) Question papers for all the groups of different standards will contain objective type questions with single correct, multiple correct, matching of columns, reason and assertion type questions, true-false type questions.
(b) Duration of question paper will be of three hours.
(c) Mathematics/Science Group students will have to appear in a single paper of three hours duration containing 40% questions on Mathematics and 60% questions on Science, 20% questions each on Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
(d) Mathematics groups students will have to appear in a single paper of duration 3 hours and Paper will contain the equal number of questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
(e) Biology group students will also have a paper of duration of 3 hours containing an equal number of questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Date, Time and Test centre
The examination will be held on 20 October 2019. If there is any change in date, then it will be announced accordingly. The location of test centres will be communicated to the students by 30 September 2019. There is no overseas test centre for this examination. But overseas students can take online scholarship examination.
Online Test:
Candidates can also appear in scholarship examination online on the same date and same time slot as are specified for the scholarship examination at the test centres.
(a) The candidates of class VIII IX and X will appear in 'Mathematics/Science Group' and question papers will contain questions on Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
(b) Question papers for candidates in class XI, XII and for those who have passed XII will contain questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for mathematics Group' students and Physics, Chemistry and Biology for 'Biology Group' students. These students have to specify the group through which they want to take the examination. Even if a candidate who is in class XI/XII or has passed class XII in the year 2007 with both Mathematics and Biology, he/she can appear in scholarship examination only through one group (either Mathematics group or Biology group).
Instructions for Filling Form -1
(i) Please fill in the form in non-joined capital letters
(ii) Fill all the entries clearly and in detail,
(iii) Fill item numbered 2 i.e., identity number given at the extreme right top corner of the envelope containing the form for AISTSE. In case it is not written there then leave this entry.
(iv) Please write your group clearly in entry no. 4 after reading under heading syllabus.
(v) Fill your class in item number 3 and your group Mathematics/ Science if you are in class VIII, IX and X and 'Mathematics Group' or 'Biology Group' (whichever is applicable) if you are in class XI, XII and or have passed XII in the year 2019.
Instructions for Filling (O M R.) Form -2
(i) Darken the bubbles appropriately with ball point black pen.
(ii) Fill item numbered 47, i.e., identity number given at the extreme write top corner of the envelope containing the form for AISTSE. In case, it is not written there then leave this entry.
(iv) Please write your group clearly in item numbered 8 after reading under heading syllabus.
(v) Fill your class in item number 7 and darken the bubble of item numbered 8 for your group Mathematics/ Science if you are in class VIII, IX and X and 'Mathematics Group' or 'Biology Group' (whichever is applicable) if you are in class XI, XII and or have passed XII in the year 2007.
Declaration Of Result And Merit List
The results and Merit list will be declared by the end of March 2008 on our website and leading Newspapers.
